Leading AI and cloud media company Moments Lab (ex Newsbridge) announced today the appointment of Jean-Philippe Maheu to its board of directors. Maheu joins the Moments Lab board following the company’s 7 million euro Series A fundraising, U.S. entity establishment, and opening of its first North American office in New York.
“I’m very pleased to welcome Jean-Philippe to the board,” said Philippe Petitpont, co-founder and CEO of Moments Lab. “Jean-Philippe has U.S. market and operational expertise, combined with a bold approach to scaling, that will be invaluable as we accelerate our growth ambitions.”
Maheu most recently served as the global vice president of advertising sales at Twitter; in 2021, Twitter generated $4.5 billion in advertising revenue. Prior to Twitter, Maheu was the CEO of Bluefin Labs, which Twitter acquired in 2013. He is currently a senior advisor to the MIT Center for Constructive Communication, a board member of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), and a former adjunct professor at Columbia Business School.
“Moments Lab is at the forefront of leveraging AI to make video content and images easily searchable for TV networks, sports rights holders, and brands,” said Maheu. “As video becomes ubiquitous, Moments Lab dramatically increases the monetization of assets for content owners, and I look forward to helping the company succeed in the U.S. market.”
